When We Know IT joined the Turbli+ project, the iOS application was already well into development. Our role was to support the existing team, review key user journeys, make targeted improvements, and help move the app toward release on the App Store.
Turbli helps travellers better understand the turbulence and weather conditions that may affect an upcoming flight. The service provides turbulence forecasts, wind information, weather maps, and other flight-related insights for both aviation enthusiasts and nervous travellers.
With Turbli+, the team wanted to bring this experience into a dedicated mobile application where users could save flights, view their flight history, and access relevant travel information from their iPhone or iPad.
The application’s design, core functionality, and technical foundation were already in place when We Know IT became involved. Rather than starting again, we focused on understanding the existing solution and identifying where our experience could add the most value.
Our goal was to preserve what worked well while helping refine the application ahead of launch.
As an application moves closer to release, the focus often shifts from adding new functionality to reviewing and refining the overall experience.
We Know IT supported Turbli by reviewing important user journeys, assisting with testing, and making focused improvements across the application. The work was completed iteratively, with updated builds reviewed and tested throughout the project. This allowed both teams to evaluate changes continuously and keep the development process moving forward.
For an application used before and during a flight, clarity and reliability are especially important. Users may open the app while travelling, moving between locations, or dealing with limited connectivity. Information therefore needs to be easy to understand and available when it matters.
Turbli+ brings Turbli’s forecasts and flight information into a mobile-friendly experience, allowing users to save flights and review their previous journeys in one place.
